Michael Jackson....

Ok, may be a little cheesy to blog about Michael Jackson...but having the last name Jackson, I grew up with the question "are you related to Michael?" Really though, anyone who has listened to the radio knows the words to at least one of his songs and anyone who has seen one of his videos has mimicked a move or two. We lost a world icon....

We are Engaged!!

Derek and I got engaged! We went on a trip to St. Thomas for Katie's graduation and decided we would have a romantic night alone (Derek had made plans that he wouldn't tell me about). Turns out he had chartered a sailboat for a sunset sail! Little did I know he would propose to me right there on the sailboat! How romantic is that! We ate at an amazing seafood restaurant, Agave, after to celebrate! It was so amazing!!
I love my ring, it is a 1920s antique!



When we arrived home my mom had decorated the house with wedding decorations! Derek had taken my dad to dinner the week before to ask for permission to marry me, so they knew he was popping the question on the trip!

Katie Graduated!

Congrats Katie! She graduated with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry! It also happened to be her birthday the day before the graduation ceremony, so we had a combo party at W lounge! Food, drinks, and celebration….what a great night! The next day we watched her get her diploma in her cap and gown! Enjoy the pics! (sorry I only have those from my camera)

April April April!

April started with my mom's birthday! My sister and I made dinner and the boyfriends made dessert. We played Wii most of the night and of course opened presents!





Later in April, Allie and I had a baby shower for Erica! She is having a little girl at the end of May. We had a taco salad bar and played games. It was fun to see lots of our friends we hadn't hung out with in awhile.





Derek and I worked hard on the garden and it is finally finished! We love the new look! No flowers, but lots of herbs and veggies! I can't wait to eat our harvest!
